Joining the 21st Century.....

Ada Bea has joined the 21st Century.......she's opened a Facebook account!

Impulse decision, she has NO IDEA what to do!

Yikes!

Who knows what's next... Twitter? Instagram?.....

There's a Facebook link on my side bar....please say Hi, not sure yet how I reply, it's all a foreign language to me!

Today I Am Loving......

Loving the chance to do a bit of crochet......(going to make myself a cushion now!)

Loving reading the latest Book Club book, I just want to scoop up this little girl, love her and show her how a Mum should be.....

Loving the fact that I finally have control over my vintage sheets (actually, do you REALLY ever have control over vintage sheets?!)

Loving my quilt top, spending time to ponder on what fabric I should use for it's back and binding, thinking something zingy! Something Spring like!

Loving looking at all the great little messages I get from my Bloggy friends, always lovely to look at!

Loving the Itsy Bitsy bit of life that's starting to return to my garden!

Love, love, loving my new coat, with it's floral lining!

Loving my polka dot cardy and my flamingo scarf....

Loving my bag.....I've decided to pretend Spring is here! Doesn't matter if its freezing, in Ada Beas world it's Spring......

Loving this little cat who visits me everyday.....

(Not to self, tidy up garden and patio....just wait until it gets warmer!)

Always loving new Vintage Wallpaper additions....listed already here..

Loving the fact that Good Friends are taking me to London, later in the week!

Gone in a flash!

Half term came and went, in a flash!

Time spent crafting with the girls and their friends......vintage crafting, start them appreciating vintage at a young age, that's what I say! Little lavender bags, for precious Mums!

Some PJ days.....and some walks........

We went to Rufford Park in Nottinghamshire, one of our favourite places!

Feeding Ducks.....

Mother Nature tricked me good and proper at the beginning of the week, the sun shone, slightly warmer, she had me fooled thinking Spring was on her way, it's freezing again now! There is hope though, the evenings are lighter, and there are a few flowers!

There's some brilliant sculpture dotted around the park.

Oh, and I managed a bit of crafting time for me....sorry rubbish photos, will take some more later in the week, when I get the chance....

I've finished the top, still need to quilt, but Clarice, my sewing machine, is a little off colour, she has tension issues ( don't we all! ), so I'm not sure I want to chance finishing my quilt until that's been sorted!

I want to use cotton batting, any ideas where I can get it from in the UK? I've got a great sheet to back it with too, very exciting!

I've been very strict with myself and imposed a 'Blog Ban' this week, I've just taken a little peak at your blogs....so many lovely things happen in such a short space of time, so much creativity! I will try and catch up with you all over the next few days!

I will be having a little give away next week, I'm joining up with a friend who's gifting a lovely bottle of perfume. She's just setting up her online perfume shop, perfume and vintage sheets, perfect combo! See you all soon.....

Powerful Images.......

I'd like to share with you the lovely, lovely swap I did with this talented lady.....

The wonderful Zoe Power!

She sent me the most AMAZING postcards, made from her beautiful images!

I absolutely love her quirky photography, she really knows how to put that extra spin on vintage......she's also used some of my wallpaper collection for some of her backdrops!

She made me this cute little calendar, which I'm going to put up in my little Crafty Space...

I think her work is dreamy and romantic! She also sells her images on Etsy.
The quality of her work is excellent!

If you get a chance have a little peak. Thank you so much Zoe! There was a lot more than these, I'm sure I will use lots of the images in future posts!

What a lovely few days we've had here in the UK, Mother Nature is teasing us, making us believe that Spring is almost here!

I'm going to have a little Bloggy break, just for a few days. The girls have friends over tomorrow and we've planned some Vintage Crafting. Get them started early, that's what I say!

Welcome to those of you new to my little blog, thank you so much for leaving me some of your thoughts! Hope you all have a lovely week!

Ada :) x

Etsy stuff.....

I gave up trying to flatten my wallpaper pieces.....life's too short! I'm afraid the photos aren't great so I will have another go at photographing them next week. There are 32 pieces of wallpaper, most of my collection. They cost £16.00 and are great for crafty projects!

I've also added some more wallpaper....

There was so much orange in the 70's!!!!

I will be popping some more fabric bundles on too, in the near future and I do have some pottery bits and bobs.....when I can brave the cupboard they're in!!! :) x

(oh and I'm feeling another little give away coming.......)

Wonderful Crafty Souls....

I love the smell of Vanilla, I'm a bit partial to Squirrels, pop them together and you get the Wonderful Vanilla Squirrel!

I knew I would be tempted when she opened her little Etsy shop, I was right!

Thank you Miss VS, Little Bea loves her little fox, she's called Felicity and she sleeps on her pillow!

I also received another little parcel......

Thank you so much Bee....

If you haven't met Bee before, she sits rather elegantly on a Linen Cloud! Please pop over and say Hi, you will come away floating!

Life is a bit hectic over in Ada Beas world, she's trying very hard to find some Crafty Time, but it's a bit elusive at the moment! Just a little Crafty Time this week, just enough to make a very little treasure.....

A little bird brooch! I love Needle felting!

(Image by the very talented Zoe Power, more about that soon....)

When I looked at my last post, I felt a bit embarrassed! Thank you all so much for your comments, please don't think I was being conceited!
What I meant to convey is how much this little blog, and more importantly, you, mean to me! This is a space I can be creative in, away from the challenges everyday life brings! I can let Ada Bea loose here, she comes alive!

I wish my Mum could see Ada Beas space! She would love this, she would love all the creativity that surrounds me, that supports me in my ventures, or should I say adventures, because that's what it feels like!

Sometimes I ramble on to her about my blog, I hold her hand and tell her what I've made, sometimes I take things in to show her. I'm really not sure what she understands, but she's still my Mum, and I've always shared things with her, so why stop now?

Anyway, on a lighter note (thank goodness you say!) I've finally got one of those all singing, all dancing phones! I keep phoning and texting people, (that's what you're supposed to do I hear you say!) but when I'm not even trying too! I woke my Posh Sis up early today, she's not an early riser like me! I think she will be pleased when I get the hang of it......who knows I might even start to instagram! Whatever that is! (not even sure if that's what you call it!)

We've just been on a lovely walk, I could almost taste Spring! I will share photos, taken on my phone, when I work out how to put them on my computer! The joys of technology!!!

Bye for now......

Etsy news.....

I was asked to do a custom order recently, made up of lots of my wallpapers. Anyway, I'm in the process of making up some more, they are great for craft projects. They take such a long time to get ready, at the moment I have piles of wallpaper rectangles under books......trying to flatten them down, they have a life all of their own! Devil to photograph! Now where's my phone..........
