Perfect Days......

It's been the most perfect bank holiday here in my little patch of the world! Three glorious days, sunshine, warmth, being with my family.

(It's cold and rainy again today but we will gloss over that one!)

Most of the last few days have been spent outdoors....

In the garden, pottering, weeding, moving plants around....

Just a little at a time....then some of this....

I've eaten all my breakfasts sat here, as well as lots of well earned tea breaks! Still some planting to do behind it, but I've 'earmarked' them from around the garden so as soon as the sun shines again....

I love my garden but we haven't been in it all the time....

There's been walks in the woods, sadly no bluebells but some fantastic views!

These are overlooking Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire, we are lucky enough to live near some beautiful countryside. I'm getting the need for a seaside fix, but I'm not too sure that will happen this year.

Anyway back to the garden....remember my neglected veg patch?

Mr Bea, who hates all things garden related (unless its sitting in the sun, admiring the flowers, with a beer in his hand!), well he's been helping me fix that!

Actually when I say 'we' it's a bit of a royal We! He's done all the hard work.....but I've been a great supervisor!

The beds have been weeded and filled and I've sown some seeds, I've probably left it too late but never mind, we will see what grows! I've put some herbs in the middle bit, some brought from other areas in the garden, some given to me by my wonderful neighbour, and I was lucky enough to receive some garden vouchers too!
The slate will hopefully keep down the weeds! The area at the bottom will, I think, be a little fruit patch. I'm thinking raspberry canes and strawberries. I look forward to it all bursting into life.
I need to grow something up the fence too, it gets the sun on it all day, but as my garden is on a slope it can get very breezy too, any suggestions?

This is the view back up towards my conservatory, with my little 'greenhouse' which has now been cleaned and has lots of pots in it full of seeds! I really do love my garden!

And this morning I've been able to sort out my crafty space...

But I won't show you in the cupboard....it will frighten the living day lights out of you!

I know I said I'd show you my wallpaper makes but I just needed to share my garden, but I will do soon! We've got a busy week here, it's Little Beas birthday on Thursday and we are planning a trip out, then on Friday she's having a few friends over for a pizza and movie.

Welcome to those who are new here, I hope you will pop back! I always wonder who reads my blog!

Be back soon......

Don't forget I've put lots of new Vintage Sheets in my Esty Shop, I've just got too many!

My wallpaper packs have also been reduced too! :) xxx

Ada Bea.....Vintage Wallpaper Addict.....

I'm not really sure when this addiction began...couple of years?

Do you want to see my collection, well just a little bit of it anyway...

Pinks first I think......

Then shall we do the blues......

Then moving on the the oranges and yellows...

Bored yet?

There were LOTS of oranges and yellows in the 70s remember???

Bet you're bored now!!!!

Any you remember any of the designs? This is only a few, I've more, but I'm not buying anymore, like my sheets, I've got too many! Well maybe in a bit, when I've made some space, saved some pennies ;)

I'm always a little sad when I reach the end of a roll....but they still look beautiful.....

And this is where the fuller rolls get stored....

I love Jane's trolleys so when I saw this last year in the charity shop I grabbed her, it was pouring with rain and I must have looked bonkers carrying her through the streets!

However I never realised trolleys were PERFECT places to store vintage wallpaper! I think it needs a little VSA makeover, inspired by Jane, then twisted by me....need a fine, no rain day for this one.....it might be a while! (For those not in the UK, our weather is horrible at the moment!)

So did you like my wallpaper collection? Whenever I see it, I smile! I feel very lucky to have these rolls. But I don't mind sharing, most are available in my little Etsy shop!

Next time I'll show you what I do with my wallpaper, although most of you already know!!!!

Bye for now,
