Looking Good Clarice.......

Clarice has had her long over due makeover this week, I was going to do the whole Psychedelic Vibe thingy, then this popped through my letterbox...

....and it felt just right! Very pretty and almost refined, exactly what a Lady of Clarices' calibre deserved! It's a 1970s, Marks and Spencer's wallpaper, which matches some of the fabric I have, what do you think?

Youngest Bea was given her first homework task this week, nothing heavy, she just needed to cover her homework diary! Well they say an 'apple doesn't fall far from the tree', imagine my delight when she asked if she could use some of my Special Wallpaper!

I was beside myself with giddiness! She is naturally a very creative little girl, always making, drawing and writing her own stories. She loves the things I make and do, I hope she continues on her creative path!

Thank you all for your best wishes for Eldest Bea......I am SO PROUD of her! She has not only coped with all the changes of going up to Senior School, but has ENJOYED herself! Her primary school, and her new school, have worked together so well to prepare her, and in these early days it's really paid off! Phew!

Sarah, at Squiggling About, has kindly Awarded me the Liebster Award, thank you so much Sarah. I wasn't too sure I could have two of these but then saw them on blogs so guessed it was OK!

I would like to forward the award to Annie over at Artistica Domestica, I've both laughed and cried as I read through her posts. She's just finished some gruelling treatment, she is I think, an inspiration! ( although, I'm sure, she wouldn't see herself as that!) If you don't know her blog please pop over.

Thank you all soooo much for your comments about my little craft fair adventure. I really do value all your advice and support. I still can't believe that anyone would be remotely interested in what I make, or even that I'm anywhere good enough to sell anything! And I'm NOT fishing for compliments, its just how I feel!

I will give some serious thought into an Etsy Shop. I could put in some of my wallpaper collection, and perhaps some of the treasures I find on my little adventures! Maybe as I get more confident, I may decide to include some things I make, we will see.

As I was sat in my conservatory yesterday evening, watching day turn to night, I just had to share my view.......

I've always loved the black silhouette created by the trees against the changing sky, just beautiful!

Hope you all have a great weekend doing the things you love!

Ada :) x

  12. I have only just caught up with your vintage craft fair post and this one. I loved your sewing designs and would love to get my hands on some of that wallpaper, but I know what you mean about your town not being quite ready. Our area is the same. An Etsy shop might be the answer. I'd definitely stop by.

    1. Thank you for visiting me Vivienne, I love the design, I think one of the reasons I'm drawn to these patterns is because they remind me of my childhood! Ada :)

  16. just gorgeous! So good to hear about your girl, you must be beaming! It's only 3 days in at school for us, but so far seems very good. I've learned so much from last year that I feel much more positive about the things that might come up. I am so proud too :)

    Lovely view!

  22. Hello Ada, I have to say, I am very pleased with the way Clairice's house turned out. If you remember, I was opposed to covering it as turquoise really turns my crank. You did a terrific job of it. And I will remember that underneath the pretty dress, the skin is a lovely colour also.
