Penny and I have been playing today!
We have been using up the scraps....you know how I hate to throw any little bits away....
We've had such fun......lots of chatting, drinking coffee, sewing..
Being inspired by Anna Treliving....thank you Anna.....
This is just the start.....a little embroidery? Note to self, learn some stitches....
Oh the joys.....creating with friends.......
Have a Super Duper Weekend....bye!
Ada :) x
p.s. Need to learn about circles on Etsy, then I can 'add' people to them, it's all a new world to me.....if you've added me to your 'circle', thank you! I'll add you to mine....when I work it out! x x x
Looking good Ada... I found a great book from the early 80's yesterday Embroidery by Byksynia Marko ... like you I want to learn some stitches!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a printer I'd send you some pages... could send you some photos?
Don't worry! I will look out for that book, there's always Yuo Tube! :) x

Looks truly fantabulous - just up my street...I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteps. I also keep all my scraps - you should see my overflowing bags and baskets!
I know exactly what you mean! :) x
DeleteSo sweet Ada, I love collecting ideas of what to do with all my scraps - for when I have a moment or two! Etsy circles are good because when you're in someone's circles you can see what they've been 'favouriting' and they can see yours - so you find out about sellers that you didn't know about before and they find out about you! I'm only just getting the hang of it, and i still haven't opened my shop...oh well, that's a job for the New Year now! Have a lovely weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel, I thought it might be along them lines! I will have a go at making my own circles soon! You've got young children, everything takes time, you'll get there soon! :)
DeleteWhat a pretty way of using scrap fabric pieces..it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend :)

Lovely picture Ada ... I'm not sure about circles either ... I have been shopping on etsy for ages but was just having a play this evening with their treasury feature ... I think you just need to jump in and have a go ... best way to learn ... Bee xx

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! :) x
Deletewow!!!! love it!!!
ReplyDeletexxxx happy weekend, Ale
Love it.
ReplyDeleteI am in a few circles and I have added a few, I think it's just a way of getting to know about other sellers and them getting to know about you a sort of friends of friends type thing.
Hve a great weekend
:-)
your play have worked so well, and you are now learning stitches, more hours in the day are needed for you, there are lots of books with stitches in, I should know I seem to have most of them!!
ReplyDeleteThat is realy cute Ade - what a great idea for scraps! x
ReplyDeleteLove a play date! There's something so nice about creating with someone else. I love making christmas cards with my best friends and now it has become a bit of a tradition, just something we have to do together!
