Sending you all a beautiful bunch of flowers for your kind words yesterday. We survived the day, one daughter has flourished, achieving more than she thought, and my other has to face her fears again, but as usual, I will be there to hold hands, and offer calm strength.
Being a parent can be a tough job, it pushes you to your limits, then nudges you a bit further. The rewards however, when you see them overcoming difficulties, makes it all worth while.
Have a great day,
Amanda :) xxx
Congratulations to both of your daughters. To daughter 1 for her amazing achievement and to daughter 2 for "staying on in there". With such an amazing Mum behind her failure will never be an option!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day all of you. Love Paddi X
Thanks Paddi, we certainly are a very complex family, there are lots of needs I need to juggle each day, it's never boring here! ;) xxx
DeleteGorgeous flowers. I am just catching up - my blog disappeared for two weeks so was unable to see all my favourite blogs either, as well as not being able to post myself
ReplyDeleteJulie xxxxxxxxxx
Oh my goodness, blog withdrawal ;) glad everything is ok now :) xxx
DeleteMorning Amanda, kids can be hard work and even in to adulthood. Then if you are lucky grandchildren. I have one 2 1/2 who is sitting by my side eating his breakfast. You start worrying about them too. Sad thing is these days they are all put under so much pressure. They can only do their best and not compete with others. Hugs all round.
ReplyDeleteMy mum said she always worried about me and I was absolutely fine, she had nothing to worry about! Enjoy you day with your grandson ;) xxx
DeleteI am playing catch up on my blog reading, I am happy to see such positive writing. The saying goes that your daughter is your daughter for all of her life and that is so true. Yours are truly blessed by having such a supportive Mum. As to the looming changes I am convinced that you will make the absolute best of whatever happens. If the greenhouse happens it will be a calm place to retreat to, a little bit of pottering about in a warm place with the rain tinkling on the roof, lovely. If however it does not happen then I am certain that you will have a calm place somewhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam for your kind words, I'm certainly not a perfect mum, my girls will tell you that ;) I'm lucky as I have a few calm spaces, my studio being one of them. The greenhouse will help me to garden for a longer season, it's the act of gardening I find so calming, if it's meant to be it will happen :) xxx
DeleteThank for the flower, but sorry I didn't understad yesterday that you were worried about your daughters. I have red and read again the post, but I don't undestand. But today I understand that all is good with them. Very well!
ReplyDeleteMiriam
Hi Miriam, thank you, it's a difficult balance, writing how I feel, and the privacy of my family :) xxx
DeleteGlad your daughter achieved more than she thought she could, and I'm wishing the same for your other daughter too. You're definitely right about being pushed further than you think is possible. You're an absolutely top mum. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ, fall short so often but always try my very best for them, hopefully they will forgive my shortcomings if they become parents themselves! ;) xxx
