Flea Bites.....

On Saturday I went to the Pretty Dandy Flea Market, to support Sharon from Modflowers. She had a stall with her friend Maria, who is a Retro China Addict! And I got bitten, quite a few times as it happens, but you will have to wait to see those little bites, as they are going on my Lampshade Christmas tree!

The beautiful lampshade above was from Butterscotch & Beesting (don't you just love some of the names conjured up!).

I just loved the work by Anna Treliving, from Thread in the Clouds. I've been inspired to have a go at making one of my own pictures myself, just beautiful!

She doesn't like throwing away the scraps....a woman after my own heart! Anna can be contacted on threadintheclouds@hotmail.com.

This was Sharons and Maria's stall, lots of retro delights!

And Ding Ding was there again

There was also some lovely Vintage Fabric delights from Ali Bee...

It was fun at the flea! (unintentional rhyme there!)

Thank you all for your support on my last post, it seems a lot of us have Crochet Issues, as well as family members, who do not full appreciate the wonderful qualities having numerous cushions bring to the home!

After all your comments and advice I'm going to carry on with my attempts to crochet (but don't any of you be holding your breath!).

This week I found a little bit of energy, it was in my back pocket. I've spent it on Cleaning and Sorting the conservatory! I've spent so much that now I'm heavily in debt! Its so fustrating when your head is so full of ideas but your body won't play! I do however have a lovely, clutter free, clean conservatory. I sat in there today after I'd finished, sipping my coffee, watching the birds...bliss!

We have a winner.......

It's Bee from The Linen Cloud!
Congratulations Bee, please email me and I will send off your little parcel!

Well I'm having a sewing day with my good friend Mrs P on Friday! Then I'm off to the Country Living Christmas Fair on Saturday. Hopefully I won't need a boat to get there....I hope all of you in the UK are managing to stay dry.

Be back after the weekend, I've another little makeover to share!

Ada :) x

p.s Etsy News:

Can a girl have too many Vintage Sheets? Of course not! That's a ludicrous question, but she can have Not Enough Shelves!

As I'm clearing and cleaning this week I've realised how much all my 'stuff' has taken over! If I had my own Crafty Room then I could hoard away to my hearts delight! But I don't!

So I've decided, gulp, to chop up some of my larger sheets and make up little packs for my shop. If (deep breaths), I know they are going to good homes, with people who will love them, stroke them, and admire them as they sit on new shelves......then I will be ok.....I think!

  4. Oh I do love a good flea market I do, I think my purse would have been popping too if I had been there. I love craft fairs at this time of the year and getting inspired. I went to the CL Christmas fair a couple of years ago and it was glorious but a little too squished for my liking,I like a bit of space to think and contemplate at these events. I'm sure you will enjoy it Ada,have fun and take care xox Penelope
ps. I think I may well be indulging in some of your vintage sheet packs as I am determined to make a quilt or duvet cover in the new year x

  9. What a lot of little pretties! I can't wait to see what you are up to! I would love to get my hands on some of your vintage sheets! Although I have lots, I am thinning out my collection and only keeping the ones I truly love and will use and not just buying sheets just because they are vintage!

Felicidades. Gracias por compartir. Quiero invitarte a ver un shooting hecho en un Time Out, lleno de sensaciones y texturas. Besos y besos.
