  1. How interesting you are such a prolific blogger but managed to bypass FB! Blogging is much more fun. I've been on facebook for quite a few years but bit bored with it now. Give it a whirl, try it on for size, play with it. The whole premise and mode of comms is completely different to blogging. Blogging is nice because you meet lots of lovely people outside of your world, FB is pretty much within the world of people you know. Which tends to put me off most days!!

    1. Hi Patsy, I'm afraid I'm a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to all this technical malarkey, I've only just got a smart phone and that's an inigma to me! I'll give it a whirl, I don't think anything will beat blogging though! :) x

  2. Ha Ha,I did it too, 2 weeks ago. Oh no, eldest made an account for me half a year ago, and because I got a friendship request from my childhoodfriend I thought okay, I have to do something. Meanwhile I do have contact with that friend, and I'm "spying" at nieces and so, but I still do have to find out what more to do. groetjes, Gerda

  3. I think FB is a great idea, especially for promoting a small business. I have two FB pages, one for my friends, and one businessy type one for my journalism. The friends one is just a bit of fun, and the journalism one gives me somewhere to show people what I've been up to. I don't really think it helps me to get work, but if anyone asks what sort of thing I do, I can always tell them to have a little look.
On the other hand, I have a friend with a small painted furniture business and her FB page is a huge success for her. She's met some lovely people through it, and sold lots of bits of furniture. She can't afford to advertise, so it's a perfect way for her to get gain customers and commissions.
