Even Minnie, our cat, has got in on the vintage action!
Inspired by Tif over at Dottie Angel, I've made Minnie her own vintage suitcase bed!
She's always loved my vintage sheets, tries to lay on them at every opportunity....well now she can!
She's just making sure I've spelt her name right!
Try as I might, I couldn't get her to settle in it for a photo shoot!
She wasn't having any of it.....too many birds chirping outside, too much hunting needed, she was off outside in a flash!
Good job I grabbed the opportunity last night as she curled up to sleep, she must of liked it she didn't wake me up until 5am today, usually it's much earlier!
It's so quiet here today, the girls have gone to school, just me and the ever disappearing cat! So quiet.
I'm trying to pick out paint colours for our bedroom...I've plans and ideas, just need the right shade, aren't those colours just divine. I get so excited by colours...it's like they touch my spirit.
Hope you all have a great Monday!
Ada :) x
Etsy news....I was hoping to open today, but here in the UK our postal charges have gone up...yet again! So I will need to readjust my charges! :) x
What a beautiful and sweet project!!!!!

~ Pedro is ever so envious! Says he hasn't a bed nearly as POSH! ~ The 'she' cats( in the house) do though....Well tis a girl thing! Pedro much prefers hanging around my neck...he really does... And then sleeping high up on top of the cupboard....Just so he can be 'Top cat', me thinks....~ Mine is quiet to day, Ada...all back to college! Just me and me blogs...ahhhh Bliss! Have a fun week, my friend! Love Maria x
ReplyDeleteI bet Pedro came in very handy during this long winter, who needs a scarf when you have a cat! :) x
DeleteThat cat basket is adorable! Fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Love your suitcase cat-bed, yes, I saw it on her blog too - but no pets to pamper any more. Lx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely lovely bed for your lucky cat.

That's just absolutely brilliant! I love Minnie's new digs. The colours are fabulous. Can't beat vintage sheets.
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the postage increases....it's getting ridiculous to post stuff overseas now!
Absolutely! :) x
DeleteIt's come up a treat! Love it :-)
ReplyDeleteLucky Minnie, I hope she realises its not every cat that has a bed as posh as that! Rowen@Coastal Colours x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous kittie bed. A very lucky cat. Loving your selection of paint colours. Having gone through quite a neutral phase I'm loving colour too. We painted our hall landing and stairs a rather vibrant, but very mood lifting yellow last year. It still makes me smile every time I come through the door. Thanks for mentioning the post charges. It's something I need to look at with my etsy shop. I sold something to the US a few weeks ago. It was just some of my felt heart embellishments which are really light but the charge was unbelievable. I was totally out of pocket with what I'd charged. Fiona x
ReplyDeleteI love yellow.....it's been a few years since I had a yellow room, yes it's a smile inducing colour! :) x
DeleteLovely! Luck cat, that's all I can say.
ReplyDeleteI have such a thing about those paint tester cards... I always pick up way more than I need and like to prop them up on the mantle and just look at them. x
Hi There, What a lucky little puss you are Minnie!! And a really lovely project Ada!!
ReplyDeleteLove
AMarie

I love these suitcase beds Ada, and wondering whether or not make one for Ruby, but think she muchly prefers sleeping on our beds ....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sunny weather
Love Claire xxx
She's not daft! When Minnie adopted us she had fleas....we didn't realise until she'd visited all the rooms in the house, she discouraged from bedroom visits ever since....not sure why!!! ;) x
DeleteI think that is without doubt the best cat bed I have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteNej men vilken fin väska, härligt tyg! Kul att katten blev nöjd med sin nya bädd. Kram Nina
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) x
DeleteOh lovely! Such a lucky cat! Good luck with the decorating!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!!! my cats will be so jealous!
ReplyDeleteLovely bed for your cat! Of course he'll sleep well in there;)
ReplyDeleteI love it Ada, what a lucky cat! xo
ReplyDeleteJust love the pic of her testing her new bed with a single paw. Such a cat thing to do!
ReplyDeleteIt's a very beautiful bed and I hope she'll enjoy many a nap there.
She's taken to it like a duck to water....are you allowed to say that about a cat!? :) x
DeleteWhat a lucky little cat ... I can see why she would be chuffed with it :) ... Bee xx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a clever idea! Well, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink! And how DO you keep the lid from shutting your cat in ... and is that the real reason he 'slept in' this morning?! Can't wait to see the bedroom colour. Wendy

DeleteOh my goodness - I ADORE your vintage cat suitcase! You are so clever! I love the pic of your cat looking at her name - just adorable! Love, love, love!
ReplyDeleteHow perfectly adorable your pictures are! I have a chihuahua that acts very catlike at times, so I could relate to the testing and final approval. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! She looks so cute in her new bed!! xo Heather

There wouldn't be any room for you if you did.....five large suitcases!!! :) x
DeleteWhat a gorgeous bed for a gorgeous kitty. Love the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteMinnie's cat bed is wonderful ... my old girl Florrie is feeling quite jealous!
ReplyDeleteLove your chair makeovers in your previous post too!
M x
I'll have to make Florrie one too! :) x
DeleteThat is a brilliant cat bed!
ReplyDeleteOurs won't even sleep in the basket we bought from CK which is now in the loft so I don't hold out much chance customizing a lovely one for him...ever. Silly cat.
Nina x
It might just be THE thing to get them to settle in one place! Would match your girls bedroom walls! :) x
DeleteAaah sweet Minnie, she looks like she has always belonged there Ada. Bless her I hope she is getting used to her new vintage bed. Well done on making it, I love the way your love of vintage sheets has extended into your pet's life xxx Penny
ReplyDeleteThey've extended into everyone's life.....good job they love me! :) x
DeleteI love the cat bed, I laughed out loud when i saw it, and I don't mean that in a not very nice way! and she has her own vintage suitcase, covered in vintage wallpaper! and a very nice purple vintage sheet. I hope she understands these merits!! Heather x
ReplyDeleteNot sure she understands the significance, but I live in hope that she will show some gratitude and stop biting my toes! :) x
DeleteLove Minnies new bed, very clever :) So quiet here too :( miss My babies..
ReplyDeleteXxxx
So adorable...I just love her little bed...looks like she does too. Our postal rates in Canada are crazy.....I go to the USA to mail anything big...only minutes away from where I live so I can.
ReplyDeleteHope your week is going well. xo
Oh adorable! Goodness, I'm so enjoying the colours in your images. They're making my eyes very happy
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky cat Minnie is her cat looks so comfortable, she would make a good advertisement for your lovely fabric!
ReplyDeleteSarah x
I love Minnies's new bed!
ReplyDeleteOf course it's got the added advantage that if you ever move home, you can just shut her inside it for the journey! (joking of course in case the RSPCA read this)
