There's A Little Bit Of Magic.....

Something very special happened to me yesterday, something I'd like to share....

Do you believe that there's such a thing as A Little Bit Of Magic? Some people call it Karma, others God's work, others a little bit of magic.
The universe smiled down on me yesterday, a little piece of the jigsaw fell into place....or rather a parcel landed on my doorstep!

The lovely Mezz sent me the most beautiful present. It solved my 'problem', answered my prayer!

I've painted the wardrobes, chosen the colour for the walls but couldn't quite decide on the curtains....I'd thought perhaps this...

Which is beautiful, and the turquoise is a perfect match to the wardrobes but not quite enough of it. But then my parcel arrived with this!

PERFECT....and just enough, I will have to be very careful and not make any mistakes, but it perfect! Karma, God....I'm not sure, but THANK YOU! And THANK YOU Mezz, you are fantastic, and you didn't know my dilemma, you didn't know my quandary! You've just made a lady over the other end of the world very, very happy!

And I have the PERFECT wallpaper too!

Not enough to do a wall, I'll have to think out the box with this one. But I'm always thinking out of the box.....so nothing new there!

(Even my letter matched my parcel.....just look at the latest White Stuff Catalogue, perfect!)

Mezz, who's a fantastic musician, also sent my daughter her latest CD, it's great....had a great dance around the kitchen yesterday! Eldest Bea says "Thanks.....It's Cool" :)

This came at just the right time, not only because this is the weekend we start painting the bedroom, but because this weeks been a difficult one. I can't share here because its not mine to share. It's been a week where I wish children weren't so cruel to each other.

Yesterday I also picked these......

I love the idea of The Little Green Shed's Nature in the Home, so thought I would give it ago...looks lovely, yes?
Stinks though! Mr Bea walked in the house and wanted to know where the cat had gone for a wee, so we no longer have Nature in the Home! I'll choose something with a nicer fragrance next time!!!!

This morning I made these....

From an idea from Patchwork Harmony Blog, bit of washi tape, old jar and 5 minutes!

Thanks for reading this, thanks for visiting, thanks to those of you who leave me your thoughts, it really does mean a lot!

Back next week, with hopefully the bedroom revamp...although Mr Bea is doing most of the painting so it could be in a few weeks! Off to pop some cotton wool in my ears, he doesn't half moan when he's got a paint brush in his hand!

Ada Bea- very happy receiver of parcels! Especially those that answer prayers! :) xxx

  2. Gorgeous fabric - lucky old you! That is the thing about living in a home furnished with vintage, thrifted and hand-made, the perfect thing always turns up in the end. And a bit of pretty washi tape can make anything beautiful! Love, Mrs RV x

  9. Yay for blogging goodness! That fabric is utterly gorgeous, and goes so well with the wallpaper. You could try framing small amounts of the wallpaper and hanging them in a cluster, if you don't have much. x

I absolutely love that fabric - they'll make the most perfect bedroom curtains. What a joy to wake up to the morning sun filtering through them.

  19. Yep...you put it out there you will get some back, but not in a cynical way, in a way that expects no rewards but is just pure. Mis Ada you are a generous person as one who knows that you will always try to make me happy with your comments on my blog...the only comment on my blog!...:-)
It's called friendship and Miss Mezz sounds like a kindred spirit. Enjoy you sunny happy sheets. Children can be cruel and often not malicious just unthinking and self centered it doesn't help when they hurt others, but I often tell my children that the cruel ones are often very sad and lonely inside and lash out to make themselves feel better. They are often lacking love in their lives and are jealous of those who have it.
I will stop prattling on like an old woman now.xxxxxxxx

    1. That's what I always say, it's the sad kids who are the cruelest! I'm not sure how much it helps though when human behaviour is already hard for you to understand :) x
