I'm not really sure when this addiction began...couple of years?
Do you want to see my collection, well just a little bit of it anyway...
Pinks first I think......
Then shall we do the blues......
Then moving on the the oranges and yellows...
Bored yet?
There were LOTS of oranges and yellows in the 70s remember???
Bet you're bored now!!!!
Any you remember any of the designs? This is only a few, I've more, but I'm not buying anymore, like my sheets, I've got too many! Well maybe in a bit, when I've made some space, saved some pennies ;)
I'm always a little sad when I reach the end of a roll....but they still look beautiful.....
And this is where the fuller rolls get stored....
I love Jane's trolleys so when I saw this last year in the charity shop I grabbed her, it was pouring with rain and I must have looked bonkers carrying her through the streets!
However I never realised trolleys were PERFECT places to store vintage wallpaper! I think it needs a little VSA makeover, inspired by Jane, then twisted by me....need a fine, no rain day for this one.....it might be a while! (For those not in the UK, our weather is horrible at the moment!)
So did you like my wallpaper collection? Whenever I see it, I smile! I feel very lucky to have these rolls. But I don't mind sharing, most are available in my little Etsy shop!
Next time I'll show you what I do with my wallpaper, although most of you already know!!!!
Bye for now,
Ada Bea....Vintage Wallpaper Addict??? :) xxx
Thank you all so much for your very kind comments on my previous post, I found them very moving, lots of us are in similar situations and I know you understand :) xxx
Love your collections Ada, and yes, I think i do recognise several from my childhood! Oh the nostalgia ...
ReplyDeleteLove Claire xx
I love all of them Ada, gorgeous,do you find them in charity shops? I have never had the joy of coming across a roll of such lovely-ness. We didn't have wall paper when I was growing up, it was rarely used in South Africa, possibly due to being such a hot country. Hope you have a marvelous bank holiday xxx Penny
ReplyDeleteOnly a few we're charity shop/ car boot finds I'm afraid! :) x
DeleteAmazing collection....you've been very blessed to find all that gorgeousness. :)

DeleteYou have a fantastic collection, I love so many of the patterns especially the last one.
ReplyDeleteWow! I am so envious!
ReplyDeleteThese all take me back to my childhood. I remember having a big sample book from somewhere,(I think my Dad knew the owner of the local DIY shop), and using them to cover my school books. We had an orange and brown "dinner plate" design on our lounge wall, used to make me feel giddy :( xx
ReplyDeleteYes we had a sample book too, we did the same! :) x
DeleteHi There, Lovely collection!!!And isn't that the perfect use for a trolley!!!Have a great weekend!!!

DeleteGorgeous and I spotted my childhood bedroom wallpaper amongst them.... love the trolley and Jane's are so gorgeous. I keep spotting them in charity shops but haven't had the nerve to buy one yet. I have no idea where I'd put it and the OH would really think I'd lost the plot ... Sarah x

DeleteOMG that is a wonderful collection I use mine on my walls I love love them but I would love to find more they are so hard to find now. If I was you I would keep a little scrap book with a sample of everyone you have or collect it would make a wonderful keepsake. dee xx

They're all gorgeous, but the blue ones are my special favourites! Love your tea trolley. One appeared in a charity shop near me recently, but I couldn't think of anywhere to put it!

ReplyDeleteHi Ada. My name is Trillian and Ive just dropped in via Julie. What am amazing collection. We built our first home in 1973 so you can imagine the wallpapers. We had an orange one in the dining room. I find it hard finding vintage sheets here in NZ. Not enough people. I empathize with you and your Mum. My mum too had dementia and those last years were so cruel. My heart goes out to you. Blessings, Trills.x
ReplyDeleteHi Trills, thanks for popping by and saying hi! Homes were a riot of colour in the 70s weren't they!
DeleteI'm sorry to here about your Mum, it's such a cruel disease xxx
your such a trolly dolly!! Heather x
ReplyDeleteAda such lovely colours and patterns, the trolley looks a great place to store them and admire them.
