Finding My Positivity.....

I'd lost my Positivity for a little while there. I'm not sure where I'd dropped it, or when exactly.....when you're juggling many different balls I suppose it's easy to drop one of them, to not even notice that's what you've done!
This week I've realised that's what I'd lost, and that's why I was struggling. It's what I need to find again, and I'm getting closer to where it is.
I deleted my last post, several times. I thought who would want to keep visiting VSA, if I am moaning! But this blog is real, although I may use my nickname, my thoughts, my feelings....well they are all real.
I'm just being who I am, I'm a 'what you see is what you get' kind of girl. I'm happy in my own skin and don't need to pretend otherwise. So, when I'm struggling, well it has to come out here too. I can't do it any other way. So I won't.
Here's some of the things I've been enjoying this week......
It's the first of March, and although it's very cold the sun is shining and there's a whif of spring in the air.
There's a tiny bit of colour in the garden, buds are plumping up, ready to burst.
I've really enjoyed this bunch of daffodils that Little bought me, using her pocket money.
I'm enjoying a little stroll down the garden, to see the changes......
I'm looking forward to getting back in the garden, needs to warm up a bit first!
Fantastic to see those little pops of colour again!
And I've had some happy mail too! Heather very kindly sent me The Healing Code, thank you so much Heather, it came at exactly the right moment! Just the message I needed to hear.
I've got this months Country Living to devour too, I've has a little flick through and it looks fab!
And so I will leave you with this......
You really are Amazing....thank you for your Positivity, encouragement and support.
Bye for Now,
Ada :) xxx

  1. I am glad you are feeling yourself again, it is hard to be positive all of the time, but as long as you are positive ninety-nine percent of the time, that one per cent where you are not doesn't matter
    Julie xxxxxxxxxx

  2. I have just found you. Such a lovely blog with inspiring photos. I am sorry to hear you have been struggling. Let's make the most of the brighter days to come:)

  3. Love the aerial shot of the daffs...very original. Helebores are rubbish as cut flowers, such a shame as they are so pretty but mine just drooped after 24hrs. I'll leave them in the garden in future. Hope the sun today has cheered you.

  4. Oh my. We all slide down the hill once in a while. So happy you've climbed back up! These photos certainly cheered ME up!

  5. take care, love your blog whether or not you are positive. And what a fab yellow cupboard you have!!!

  6. I too think that shot of the daffs is great! (Hellebore flower heads are lovely floated in a bowl of water...)

  7. Bless you, what gorgeous photos. A little bit of sunshine does you good as does your blog.

  8. Hello lovely, you are doing amazing just to get through each day and yes some days and weeks are so much harder and I am pleased to hear that you have found a little positive light within you again. The book that Heather sent you looks really lovely and I just sat in the sun this afternoon flicking through my Country Living that came through this post today. It is lovely to see a little life in your garden and it won't be long before you can a little dirt between your fingers. Enjoy your weekend xoxo

  9. It's you who are amazing, Ada! Keep smiling and radiating your positivity: in your beautifully cheerily coloured house and garden. lived seeing the crocuses and muscari poking their little heads through. Let's hope Spring is nearly here!!

  10. im sure your positivity was just a little over shadowed for a bit. deep breaths and slowing down is the best medicine. some days it is all we can do to put one foot in front of the other and that's ok. lots of love to you Ada x

  11. Im a "heart on my sleeve" girl too. I always say it makes for a much more interesting life. :)
I'm sure Spring will bring positivity - I find sunshine always makes me smile, particularly after so much rain. x

  12. It really is amazing how much I like reading your blogpost.
every time your texts make me smile.
    You are so sweet.

    Have a nice weekend,

P.S. I like your room (is it a dining room or study or kitchen?) the colours are perfect!
P.S.2 Rays of sun beaming into a room, SO make a difference! You are right about that.

  13. I hope your mojo has returned. Beautiful images. :)

  14. I hope you feel better soon. I'm glad you're finding light and happiness around you.

  15. I'm deeply suspicious of folk who are relentlessly Pollyanna, realism rules! Hoping you feel better soon and superglue the positivity back on!

  16. Oh Hellebores! How I love them...
It's easy to get lost and bogged down with...well, with stuff.
Life isn't always a bowl of cherries, that's for sure.
I like what Al says about sometimes just having to keep putting one foot in front of the other...hopefully you'll get to where you want to be - even if the journey takes longer than we'd like.
    Take care x

  17. I think that the sun is a good healer for our minds and souls….in such a very short time I'm so sure you'll feel better and stronger!!!!! yay!!!!
    xxxxxxx Ale

  18. so good to read you are on the way back to us, you have such a way with words and put your feelings so clearly for us to understand just how you feel. I am sure very shortly all will be well again

  19. oh Ada, real is the only way to be and so glad you didnt delete this post! get that positivity ball and tape it on....drop the cleaning ball, the polishing one, the laundry one but hold onto that positivity fella. it funny though the poitivity ball is often smaller, more slippy, he's an easy one to drop! So glad you are back today, when i saw you come up in my feed i did a little whoop! hugs hugs hugs xxxx

  20. You should always be who you are.
    x x

  21. You have to be who you are and we will all be here supporting you. Life isn't always brightness and happy, laughy moments. There are struggles and a problem shared... I enjoy blogs more when I feel like we see a glimpse of real person and not always skippingly, jumpingly, whizzingly loving everything, every moment and never showing a sense of reality. We are all people and you have a beautiful blog and it wont be any less beautiful if you have a moan on here. In fact it might help and cheer you up to have some positive when you need it most and not just in response to your wonderful positivity xx

  22. Love your bright flower photos and that you have flowers in your garden already. Here in Canada, we are still buried in snow. It's been a long, cold winter. The only reason I've been able to stay 'positive' is because of crochet, blogging and welcoming a baby granddaughter I will get to meet in less than a week. Trust me your Positivity will return.

  23. I really understand how you feel Ada. I feel like ive been pulled down to rock bottom lately with a bad fibro flare up. I havent even been blogging for months now. I felt guilty about that at first but I had to let that go because it was only another thing weighing me down. Hoping that the spring will bring some brighter weather and will help with the mood somewhat. I really hope too that you can get a bit of relief soon and find the positive mindset that youre looking for.
    Lots of love,
    Rosie xx

  24. Glad to hear you are in a better place. I certainly have weeks like that and blog posts are the first to vanish as it is near impossible to blog when in a negative space. Just look around your beautiful home to see all the life and colour you have created there over the last year or so, and give those gorgeous girls and hubby of yours a big hug and all will be well with the world. mel x

  25. So glad you are feeling a bit perkier, here's hoping things only get better from here x

  26. I'm so glad to hear you're finding your always seem like such an incredibly positive person I'm amazed it ever went away! Spring always makes everything seem more possible. x

  27. Moan away! We're in this together, we all get the slumps, even on sunny days!

  28. you make me happy with your pictures iam glad to find your blog.
    thank you for that.

    greeting irma

  29. Going through a rough spell here too. Hubby tells to make a cup of tea and sit on the couch. He is working away at camp, or else he would probably be bringing a cup to me. End of winter blues. Sick with cold. Getting ready to move next month, and not looking forward to that at all. :( Surely I could cheer myself up by thinking that someone else must be worse of then I am? Your pictures always cheer me, Ada.

  30. Never apologise for being you Ada! I am continually impressed by your positivity - it's catching - and lovely :) But we all struggle sometimes - that's life. And that's when it's so lovely to be inspired and uplifted by others. I love your sunny photostream. In fact, I went out at the weekend and bought a pot of daffodils for the garden - I'm allergic to flowers, so can't have them inside. Now they are just outside the window where I can see them - really looking forward to my own little bit of sunshine flowering :) Hugs xxx

  31. The weather hasn't helped over the past few weeks either. I hope the feeling of spring will help you.
    Sarah x

  32. Oh Ada, that crafty corner of your home is wonderful, it would make me so happy just looking at it. You couldn't help but be inspired by all your wonderful bit and pieces there.
I'm sure come lovely, Spring sunshine and warmth you will feel alot happier as well.
I know come cooler Autumn temps I will be happier we've had such a hot Summer!!
Take care and be kind to yourself. So many lovely photos to enjoy in this post.

    Love and hugs from Oz,

    Claire Xx
