This week it's been a week of birthday celebrations.....of crochet, and making plans. Plans for future creative projects, and plans for a healthier future.
I've really enjoyed doing these posts, thank you Gillian for inspiring me. January is a cold, dark month here in the UK, it's a month I struggle with....doing this has helped. So we go into February, our shortest month, still dark, but with the hope of spring on the horizon!
February to me will be about reclaiming back some of my health, some of my energy, and getting back some of my balance. I will share more of my plans next week.
Each month I'm going to review my Hopes and Dreams for 2015. I'm pleased to say in January I've completed my crochet blanket, and I've made a dint I quite a few of the others too! There's been some really lovely moments this month, I've had some great fun times with my sisters, my daughter and my friends. I've tried some new healthy recipes, made parsnip soup, my own hummus, made a delicious pistachio and parsley pesto. Next month I plan to try more recipes, review some cookery books.....I'll let you know how I go on!
I'm hoping next month we will get to grips with our bedroom, (this ones new on hubbie....so don't tell him will you, I'm going to surprise him with a pot of paint next week!). The weather here continues to be very cold and snowy, getting into the garden is impossible for me at the moment, if we get a warmer day or two I'm going to start to tackle my top flower beds. As a family we've decided on what veg we want to grow. I'm going to decide on the design of my Liberty quilt in February, but I think it might just end up being a year long make! Gosh that's a lot for the shortest month!
I would just like to say a big thank you to those of you who leave comments, I know it's not always easy....blog reading, and commenting is a time consuming malarkey. I really appreciate your comments and opinions, it's a big motivation for my to keep going with this little space of mine.
Hope you all have a super weekend!

DeleteI look forward to seeing your plans develop. This time of year is tough with less light and being cold and wet (or snowy.) The only place I want to be is in front of the fire.I am trying to change my attitude to being a 'think it do it' sort of person. So far I have got a number of things done that needed finishing. So here's to a positive new year!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've made a very good start to 2015! :) xxx
DeleteIt sounds as though you have had a great January and a great start to the year! I hope that the next 11 months are just as wonderful! xx
