A Picture A Day...14

Reality check, it isn't always pretty here! Next area needing a revamp, my front garden, left bare and unloved. Well actually it's not completely bare, there's a few select weeds in it. Now my back garden is much easier to manage, I'm going to pop a few shrubs in here.

I've tried growing hydrangeas in the back garden, but with limited success, however both my neighbours have grown them successfully in their front gardens. Hydrangeas it is then...watch this space. I'm hoping for a dry weekend to get cracking on this little project.

See you tomorrow,

Amanda :) xxx

    2. Think it has something to do with acid soil. You would have to look it up though

    3. It does, I'm not sure I can be bothered to keep up a regime if it's too much trouble though so I'll just let them go to whatever colour is natural too them! ;) xxx

  5. As the neighbours lovely hydrangeas are peeking over the wall it would be a good bet that they will do well just next door in your patch wouldn't it! They would make a lovely addition to a front garden and not too much work to maintain whilst looking pretty. Have fun with this next area!!

  6. Ha! I know that look. My front garden's a disgrace to me, but I have made a good start on it this year, and I too have planted some hydrangeas. Love them! Good luck with yours. I keep reminding myself that gardens aren't instant, they take a while to mature and bed in.

  10. Hydrangeas would be a great choise for this corner, In blue and pink. And they bloom for ages... so a colourful front garden it will be.
    Love,

  11. Apparently you can turn the pink ones blue by putting used tea bags around the base of them! I could probably turn a whole field full blue these days. X
