A Picture A Day...25

They've battled the slugs, the wind, a neglectful gardener who forgot to water them (me), a neglectful gardener who tied their supports too tight (me again), but finally they are starting to flower. I do love sunflowers and the way they strive to reach the sun. The ultimate happy flower.

On my last week of blogging everyday. Hope I'm not boring you too much ;)

  1. I love a sunflower too, one year the garden was full of them but that seemed to be a one off, must have been the birds dropping the sunflower seeds instead of eating them now they are too greedy to drop them so no sunflowers!
Have loved your photo a day and no you have not bored me.

  3. Morning, It is lovely to see the variety of photos you have manage to achieve over the month. There is a place near here that you can pick/cut sunflowers, the sad thing is they do not last long. Have a good day.

  5. I love sunflowers too. A farmer close to where I live had an "odd" shaped triangle of land. Nothing ever planted, just barren. Then one year he planted sunflowers. Wow! Now he regularly plants sunflowers or poppies. We love to walk and see them, you just have to smile at a sunflower! Thank you for your beautiful and thought provoking pictures this month. A lovely project, it's done a lot for me, hope you feel the same for yourself. Have a sunny day. Love Paddi X
