Snippets of Me...
Claire over at Thriftwood, has kindly nominated me for the One Lovely Blog Award. That's twice I've been given it now, thank you so much Claire. I'm not sure how this works, hope you don't think I'm being greedy! Ive never won much, and Mum always told me not to look a gift horse in the mouth! Besides it gives me another opportunity to give you all a few more Snippets of Me.......
Number One-
I love Beach Huts. One day I hope to find a Magic Key that allows me to open any beach hut that I want to and have a peek inside! I've never even stepped inside one before! One day I might just put one in my garden, Mr Bea and the Girls will be let in, on special occasions!
Number Two-
Like Claire, I too spent some time as a childminder. When my youngest was born I returned to work but found managing a large team of staff and juggling two small children hard. So I opted for a three year career break. Not one for sitting still, I signed up as a childminder and worked for the Local Authority, caring for children with disabilities and those who were experiencing neglect. It was a fantastic experience, hard work but I loved the fact that they came and had a lovely, stress free, fun filled day with us! I also did a degree course and went back to work earlier than planned to set up a new project! So not really a career break!
Number three-
I love all flowers but have some favorites, daffodils in spring, poppies in summer, dahlias in autumn and snowdrops in winter.
Number Four-
I don't take my health for granted anymore. I eat a very healthy diet and practise Yoga and Pilates for strength and balance. I'm not sure what the future holds for me healthwise, none of us do really, but I'm determined to keep my body in a good condition if it needs to step up to the mark again!
Number Five-
I love my two sisters to bits! They are both very different but together will all just 'fit'. I love spending time with them, they are supportive and kind. We look after each other when we need to...you can't beat Good Sisters. However when we were younger we fought like 'cat and dog'!
Number Six-
In our previous life, Before The Girls, Mr Bea and I travelled lots. We were mainly drawn to the Far East and I loved to wake up in a completely new country, not knowing what it would be like, who I would meet, what I would experience....fantastic!
We promised ourselves a Round The World Trip on our 25th Wedding Anniversary. That was this year, we spent the day in Derbyshire, with the Girls, it was Perfect, wouldn't have it any other way!
Number Seven-
This Blog means an awful lot to me. I'm 'meeting' some truly inspirational, thoughtful, like-minded souls......thank you all so much.....you are Great!
I would like to pass the Award onto.......
Fading Grace and Lucy at Attic 24.
Thank you for all your comments and welcome to all my new followers. As I 'Thank You' I will be doing a Vintage Wallpaper and Vintage Sheet Give Away later on this week.
I have decided to do two, one for those who are kind ( mad enough!) to follow my blog, and one that is open to followers/ everyone. So some of you will get two chances, it will be a bog standard pull a name out of the hat affair, the least technical the better.......now how do I link blogs again!.........

The Far East never appealed to me when I was younger and I did my Big Backpack Adventure in the Americas - from Canada right down to Peru - but as I get older I'm starting to think it might be fab to go East.
