Bits Of My Week.....

This week I've been busy, getting the last of the fabric bundles cut up, now in my little Etsy shop. I think these will be the last, for a while at least.......

After weeks of not venturing into any charity shops, (it was too cold to go out), I found these lovely little coffee cups in the first one I went into! Don't you just love Woods-ware?!

But why, oh why, do I insist on dragging home every old, and battered suitcase I stumble across?!?!

I carried this around town today, in the rain, looking like a right plonker, but you see, I know a secret, I know how they can look.....

Mr Bea and the girls despair of me, I can see it in their eyes, my goodness they think, she's gone mad!

I also picked up some little Easter bits 'n' bobs which hopefully, I will show you soon, and a fab vintage sheet!

Little Bea and I spent some time this afternoon making lots of Liberty eggs, she's a crafty little soul like me! Might hang them from a branch, (like you've not seen that one before!!!)

I've had a lovely week, found some treasures, made some treasures. I'm being a Crafty Butterfly at the moment, not really settling to do anything much, completing very little, I can't seem to concentrate, maybe it's that time of year, who knows!

I'm s...l...o...w...l...y getting my head around my Facebook page, I like how quick it is, but nothing can beat having a good old blog chat!

Don't forget the giveaway I'm doing with my friend, Julia, details on the previous post. Julia's also doing her own giveaway over on the Perfume People Facebook page, you could win some Jimmy Choo perfume. Just leave a comment on her page to enter. It being drawn on Monday, and there's only a handful of entries....you have a good chance of winning!!

Bye for now,

Ada :) x

  1. Hi ada
I know what you mean about fb. So speedy yet I hate the way I can't set it out how I want to and get it looking pretty! I'm definitely a blogger at heart.
I love Woods Ware. The yellow Jasmine is lovely and I often regret selling literally boxes of it I bought at auction a couple of years ago. I know I bought it to sell, I can't keep everything....

  6. The tea cups look so nice ... pretty shade of yellow :) Keep doing what you love to do Ada, even if the family thinks you've gone round the bend. I think most of our families look at us all with the same quizzical expressions and furtive looks between them!! I just mention the word "blog" and everyone groans :O They're NO fun! Enjoy your weekend :) Wendy

  20. I carried your suitcases twin around a few weeks ago ... They must have been separated at birth Ada! I've yet to upcycle mine yet though ...

Love the Woods ware too, recently I found 40 odd pieces for £3 and use it as my everyday crockery now, mine us mainly the green Beryl one, but a few Jasmine and Iris bits have sneaked in too. I could'nt stop treasure hunting f I tried, even f I won the lottery (I don't do it, so not much chance!) and am well used to my family thinking me nuts ... I prefer eccentric, but we'd be very boring if we were like everyone else Ada, and anyway lots of people like us on here, that's why blogging is so brilliant!

    Enjoy your Sunday

  23. Lovely things here today! I love how you decorate those old suitcases, Ada! They look so pretty when you have finished. Love the sweet eggs too and the Woodsware cups and saucers...that was quite a find to get so many together. I love all the soft colours they come in. Am just catching up and wanted to say thank you so much for your sweet comment about my book and for showing it on your blog! Wishing you a happy week!

  24. Ada, your wall paper is enviable. I love what you are doing with the old suitcase, you really know how to upcycle into something desirable and beautiful. I have never indulged in Liberty fabric but really need to and I love what you and your little Bea have been doing. I need to have a think about getting our branches out of the shed for our Easter tree this year. Alice and I have made quite a few "blown out!" eggs and decoupaged them over the years. I famcy crocheting a bunny too, we'll see xox Penny

  34. I'm a little late to this lovely party, Ada! I admired your pretty Liberty eggs on Facebook though and am jolly glad you are getting your head around it. It took me a few weeks of feeling completely stumped before I felt comfortable.

I love your cheery space here. Have a great - albeit cloudy - week!
