My body is telling me to rest, it refuses to move....it's been a very busy time.
Yesterday evening I found myself with a little time on my own, so camera in hand I walked around the garden.....
The sun was out, it was warm and peaceful....
I took the time to capture those moments in the garden, that can soon be forgotten!
Alliums and poppies about to pop......
Peonies beginning to fade.....
Vegetable plants poking their heads from under the ground...
Lilacs at their peak.
The sun beginning to set, it was a very lovely moment in time. However I didn't stay on my own for long!
I was joined by my little, mischievous friend....
She stalked me from the bushes and whipped up the tree at lightening speed. I think she was wondering what the heck I was up too, she thought I was there to play! But I kept my beady eye on her. I know what she's like...I had bare legs, and she has sharp claws, and I know how she loves to attach herself to me!!!
Last week was half term holidays here, Little Bea had a birthday, 9 years old! Where does the time fly?
Pizza Party was arranged, lots of laughter and fun! Little Bea has to be one of the happiest children ever, she sees humour in everything, and lives to have a good time, I just love her take on life!
Thank you as always for you lovely comments. Annie did a great post recently about why people blog. I'm not really sure why I blog, it feels a bit like a chat with a few friends. I do appreciate when you comment, but also understand we haven't always got the time to! I'm having fun, and will continue while I've something to say, when I run out of things to say, I'll stop. Simple. No stress. Fun only area!

Last year I waited ages for the poppy, as soon as it bloomed we had a heavy thunder storm and it was gone! :) x

Well Ada, these are lovely close ups of your flowers, made me want to nip out to the garden and snap some unfurling while I could - but it is getting very dusky so I'll wait until tomorrow - supposed to be a better day, weatherwise anyway.
ReplyDeleteYes, time flies and our Littlies are little no longer; my youngest grandchild Fraser in New Zealand had his 5th birthday and his first day at Big School yesterday - I can't believe it either!

ReplyDeleteAs for teenagers...mine have just come through the maelstrom , I remember my girl telling me she wouldn't be stroppy and angry like her brother was, I replied, " yes you will but I forgive you now" .....Ada if they have you sunny disposition it will be alright, love gets us through everything.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the iris Ada ... very artsy with that new zoom ;) Round here some people have peonies full on, but mine are still tightly wrapped. This kids looked like they had lots of fun (love that age for birthday parties!). I have one through the teen years and now working on my happy-go-lucky boy. Challenging!
