Pretty Parcels and Poppies.....

A couple of pretty parcels have been delivered to me this week. It's like Christmas, but in the summer.....this must be what it's like to have Christmas in Australia!

Last week I was very fortunate to win Penny's giveaway! She had embroidered a beautiful doily with the words 'It's always tea time around here', she's done a fantastic job! On the other side there's a lovely little heart! It was wrapped together with a little green duck brooch, pink tray cloth and some Earl Grey tea. I can now have a proper tea party, using one of my vintage teapots.....of course!

Thank you soooooo much Penny!

I've also had a little swap with Cass. She's has been giving me some advice on how to keep my immune system healthy, the natural way! She sent me some pampering products, great to combat stress, and lots of flower seeds, keep those bees buzzing! Thank you Cass, I shall enjoy using these.....whilst sipping Earl Grey tea!

I was also very excited to find my poppies had popped on Friday! There's so much happening in the garden at the moment, new things to see everyday!

The last two weeks have been difficult ones for me, I'm having to get my head around things. For a little while I'd forgotten to live in the moment and my head was racing forward. Panicking. Sapping me of my Positivity. Experts can tell us what they think will happen, but they don't always know. No one really knows what the future holds. Thank you Jane for reminding me.

This week I'm hoping for some dry, and dare I say it, sunny days....I've a flowerbed crying out for a little attention! And if it rains, perhaps that cushion will get finished!!!

Bye for now! Ada :) xxx

  2. Wow, what a lucky girl you are to get some very lovely parcels. Loving the little teacosy and just love Neal's yard, I have used them for so long. I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling with your immunity, there are some amazing things you can do here to get some improvement. Look at Patrick Holford, he offers a good read on how to boost immunity the natural way! I am sorry to hear that the last two weeks have been a bit of a struggle, sending big hugs from over here! I think we all struggle to live in the moment, it is just not the way we are conditioned to live, which is why westerners struggle so much with meditation in general. I am not sure if you have read the power of now, but it is worth reading, not that it makes it any easier. Hopefully your beautiful garden, my oh my I love it! will help here to give you some focus to enjoy each moment you spend in it. Yes lets hope for sunshine this week. Warm wishes and big hugs xoxo

  3. Your garden is so lovely...all that color.
I do hope the coming week brings all things good to you and that what brings you joy and peace will surround you and settle in your heart. Some days and weeks do feel like big grey weights. I am well aware of that. I've had one myself.
What lovely postal surprises for you.

  4. How uplifting is it to receive a lovely parcel in the post, and you are lucky enough to get two! The powers-that-be must sense that you need a little TLC. Tomorrow starts a new day, a new week, a new day in your garden. It's impossible to stay positive all the time, but ride through the doldrums and soon you'll be on a new wave of happiness and creativity. Chrissie x

  18. Hi Ada

It feels like such a long time since I've visited anyone that I've given up on catching up but am just moving forward with your news. Seems like you've been doing sterling work in your garden. I need a leaf out of your book as I go outside, feel overwhelmed and come back in again.

Now isn't that a gorgeous parcel from Penelope. I should think it made your day didn't it.

    1. My approach is just a little bit at a time! Lots of little breaks for a drink and blog read! I always try to 'improve' one small area each year, this year it was the veg bed, next year I know the red, orange and yellow boarder will need a revamp! Gardening is a long term plan, that's unless you have buckets load of cash to throw at it! :) x

  20. What an uplifting treat to receive in the mail ... I hope you really DID sit down for a cup of tea using your new cozy and vintage pot! I hope you have some nice sunny weather to help brush those pesky thoughts of "what's to come of us" away. Enjoy life and family while it's all here around you. You always sound very upbeat about your life Ada, and it makes me a bit sad to hear of the times you struggle to cope. Sending you a big hug and hope you have a better week ahead of you. Wendy xox
