Dandelions.....we have thousands in our garden, which is being sadly neglected at the moment. Today I decided to remove a few, Little Bea helped....she picked me a few!
It's been all about decorating (Mr Bea!) and titivating (Me!), my quest for a colourful, happy home is a little closer!
It's been about which vintage sheets to choose, (Little Bea)....
And letting go of once favourite toys......this however is going in the loft!
It's been about sorting and ordering.......new furniture too....
Old school cupboards.......
New School lockers too.....
About loving things, that you didn't think you would.....
About getting creative with a little vintage wallpaper.....
About loving a bit of colour......
About creative spaces.....letting an almost 10 year old do her thing....
About realising there's waaaaay too many cuddly toys in the house!
It's not been about having time to visit your lovely blogs I'm afraid, but I do so hope you've all had a.....
You've eaten loads of eggs, been with those you love, and had chance to get creative!
Bye for now, Lovely People.....
Ada :) xxx
Oh and I'm STILL waiting for my anniversary present! Maybe this week?

ReplyDeleteLooks like you have had an eventful Easter shame its all back to normal now x
ReplyDeleteYou have really been busy! So many beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your blog soooo much. Not least because I had a bedspread when I was little (30-40 yrs ago OMG) that definitely classified as vintage, it came with me to Uni but then sadly got lost (how ???!!!) and I think of it with great fondness when I read your blog!!!
ReplyDeleteMy 3 children are obsessed with teddies. They gave hundreds. We've acquire another 3 over Easter !
Also I get given dandelions :) I've got some little glass bottles and now I know what to put in them - thankyou :)
Jillxx
Hello Jill, thanks for visiting me, they look sweet in little milk bottles don't they, such a pretty flower :) x
DeleteSo many lovely colourful things Ada. I especially love the bright yellow chair against the floral wallpaper and turquoise wardrobe. Glad to see the dolls house is being kept safe in the attic. Mine is in the attic too as I still can't let it go (and I'm 25!) Looks like you and little Bea are making a great job of revamping her bedroom. I remember being let loose on my bedroom at about the same age (I was obsessed with Changing Rooms at the time) and painted each wall a different colour - blue, pink, orange and yellow! Complete with contrasting shelves. Weirdly, it did work!
ReplyDeleteI was going to repaint the chair it looked awful downstairs, it was pure accident how it ended up there, no design whatsoever! I bet your room looked fab! :) x
DeleteOh so bright and cheery! I don't know why dandelions are considered weeds. I think they're beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've been catching up with you here tonight and reading back through a couple of posts I missed. Congratulations on your 27th anniversary!! And congratulations on striving for the best for your girls ... even though your trip to London didn't work out as smoothly as you had hoped, I'm sure you've all gained some wonderful memories together. I think you're doing a fantastic job to go to the effort of touring around with your girls to see the sights, and the bumps along the way are overcome in the end. As time passes, I seem to only recall the happiest of moments on our vacations, even though there were some snarls and grumbles at the time. Marvelous photos of your trip! And the decorating that has been happening in your home ... wow!! Love all the happy colours and vintage sheet goodness and the retro look of school lockers and bright painted wicker!! Excellent creations, and I'm sure your daughter is thrilled with what you've pulled together! A happy home indeed! Have a great week Ada B ... I did have a happy Easter, and hope you did too :) Wendy x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Wendy, our little trips aren't always the easiest but its important we still keep going! Little Bea loves her bedroom, she's spending a lot of time in there! :) x

Everything looks colorful and fresh at your house. I found some vintage pillowcases of the style you collect, but I don't know anything about them. If you get a chance to stop by my blog, I've shared a photo and I'd love your wise feedback about them. :)
