Rest In Peace, My Beautiful Mum.

My Beautiful Mum passed away this afternoon. Myself and my sisters were with her, telling her how much we loved her, and what a brilliant Mum she had been.

She stayed awake until the moment she left us, tears rolling down her cheeks. She faced her death, as she faced life....full on, brave, and giving out love. She gave us her love to her last breath.

It was a privilege to be with her, supporting her to the end. It was a privilege to have been her daughter.

The lady who called me Ada Bea has gone from this world, but through this blog I can still be Ada Bea.

Thank you all for you love and support, to which I am very grateful,

Ada Bea :) xxx

  25. I am having such a hard time expressing my thoughts. I am not sure that I have ever left a comment here. Please know that my heart goes out to you and and your family, and that I truly send good wishes and love to you for your loss.
What really strikes me is seeing the photo of your Mummy's loving hand and arm...resting on the stitch by stitch beautiful crocheted blanket of love and caring that you made for her. I think that it maybe the most wonderful photo of connection and love that I have ever seen.
Take care and I send love to you in this time of pain. You may not realize it, but your words and image have been a gift to me as I remember the loss of my beloved Mummy, tho. it was so long ago.

  32. Dear Ada, reading this with my breakfast and having a little tear for you - and for me-we all connect somewhere don't we? So sad for you but what a lovely memory you have with a peaceful and loving passing. It DOES make a difference for that is how my dad passed, 13 years ago with us all around the bed. You and your family have such lovely memories, and the strain and waiting are over before things got really bad for everyone. Your mum has left such a wonderful legacy.Wishing you a calm and peaceful space, and love. L.xxx

  36. I am so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful picture and so touching. I am struggling to keep my tears back... Ooops. I have failed. Tears are dripping down on my keyboard...
I know this wasn't sudden but no one can prepare enough for a farewell. Sending you lots of thoughts and courage to get through your grieving process and facing a new future where you will keep your memories of this wonderful person alive in all ways you can. That way she will always be there for you - from above looking down. Smiling and watching every step you take. Without pain and struggles, in fitness and health, in a place where the light always shines and the smell of coffee and homemade cookies always are present together with warmth, love and laughter. That is my believe.

  60. Dear Ada, I have been trying to catch up on blogs and have just caught up on yours. I am sending you love and hugs in the loss of your mom. Having just been through this in June with my own Mom, I felt a kinship to you. Our Moms are special people in our lives. My Mom dealt with a lot of trials and always persevered. She was relatively healthy up until last year and was able to enjoy life which I will forever be thankful for. She had nasal cavity melanoma and the cancer invaded her whole body. But she was Mom to the end, not wanting to leave us. She always took care of everybody and felt no one else could do that job. My sister and I along with 2 of her sisters were with her at the end and I will always treasure the chance I got to tell her I loved her and goodbye. It has been a hard 2 months and I'm just not getting back to the blogging world. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, dear friend. Hugs, Sharon
