This is my new fruit patch......in my head there's strawberries in the tin bath, raspberries agains the fence. A couple of blueberries perhaps, rhubarb maybe. Plotting and planning.
Inspired, always inspired, by the wonderful and marvellous gardens, created by Madelief and Mia. Go have a look for yourself if you've not visited before.....you'll be inspired too.
Have I mentioned I'm happy?
If you need me, I'll be in the garden......
Amanda :) xxx
With my little helper! :) xxx
Gosh! That is a lot of happy things. Most of which would be on my list too :)
ReplyDeleteOh so happy to be back out in my garden Nina! ;) xxx
DeleteOh Amanda, your post made me feel happy too!! I'm glad you are enjoying your garden so much, don't over do it! Take care x
ReplyDeleteBless you Sharon.....I'm banning myself from anymore weeding until the weekend, give my body chance to recover.....might have to get the hubbie to hide the shed keys, then I can't get to my tools! ;) xxx
DeleteI am so pleased to see that happy features a lot on your list!! It is annoying that weeds keep cropping up so much though isn't it! Hope that you can keep getting out there and keep enjoying it! xx
ReplyDeleteThey really do get where water gets don't they Amy! ;) xxx
DeleteWonderful. It's time to start getting out the seeds isn't it. I shall look forward to watching their progress. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteMe too CJ, I've got to hold off sowing any in pots until we've been to florence but there's a few I can pop in the raised beds this week, can't wait to eat my first salad leaves! :) xxx
DeleteLovely to see you're happy and enjoying your garden. x
ReplyDeleteThank you Sara! :) xxx
DeleteSpring !!! Ooh how jealous am I?! You definitely have had a change of seasons there in the UK. All this snow here near Toronto would be getting me down if I wasn't on my way to LONDON in 2 days. Can't wait to be "In spring" soon! Love you dotty jug by the way!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting Bronwyn, I hope we have the perfect spring weather for you.....that might entail a bit of rain though! Have fun ;) xxx
DeleteIt's good to see you so happy and enjoying yourself so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jennifer :) xxx
DeleteThe irresistible scent of earth in the spring garden! Wonderful X
ReplyDeleteEven better than Chanel! ;) xxx
DeleteLove that tin bath! We had glorious sunshine yesterday, it was so good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteRhubarb, yes. We had a patch growing at our old house and it was great stuff.
S x
It's brilliant isn't it....got a milk churn too, now all I need is a dolly tub! ;) xxx
DeleteI cannot wait to see your garden all in bloom x
ReplyDeleteMe too! ;) xxx
Delete…. so go on and be happy!!!!
ReplyDeletexxxxx Ale
Ok Boss!!! ;) xxx
DeleteMy day yesterday reads very close to yours, mine did not have a wheelbarrow or a wonderful zinc bath. I did have sewing and foundation paper square cutting on mine. An altogether fun day for both.
ReplyDeleteThat's right Pam, we all need to do more of the things we love! Hope you have a good day :) xxx
DeleteGood to hear you are happy :-) Nothing beats sunshine and gardening :-) enjoy, dee xx
ReplyDeleteVitamin D from the sun and music therapy from the birds.....not bad, and all free! ;) xxx
DeleteWhat a lovely gardening day it is today over here in the East of England, I hope it's the same for you?
ReplyDeleteLovely here too....sadly no gardening for me today, hopefully tomorrow! :) xxx
Deleteyou have done well, that's a huge patch of garden! I love the fact you can see the seeds in the packets, isn't that a nice touch? also the tin bath looks fun, you could drill some holes in the bottom and line with stones first. X
ReplyDeleteHoles have been drilled-everything ready to go, hopefully at the weekend! :) xxx
DeleteOh you're doing so well - bet it feels good to be outside! It'll be so lovely seeing it transform. I need to get out in the garden too, but not this week - totally overdid it last week and I'm paying for it now.... No matter, plenty of other things to do!
ReplyDeleteHaving a few days off as I've done a little too much, might have a little potter out there tomorrow.......yes it's good to be outdoors, take care Lovely! :) xxx
DeleteYour tin bath brings back memories... every Friday, sat in front of the fire in the kitchen... I sound Victorian! Happy weeding, mind your back. xx
ReplyDeleteNot Victorian, vintage! ;) xxx
Deletelove the tin bath! So evocative of times gone by, cant wait to see if overflowing with fruit and veggies :) Great idea Jillxo
ReplyDeleteI will be able to have a strawberry bubble bath! ;) xxx
DeleteI love planning and feeling the exciting thrill of plan coming together. Happy gardening xx
ReplyDeleteMe too Cheryl, the planning stage is just as exciting as the end result! ;) xxx
DeleteSo nice to start putting plans into action in the Spring garden and today has been a lovely day for it. I love that Alys Fowler book too, enjoy planting up your fruit. Helen
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know you've stopped by Helen, I'm hoping to do a little today if weather allows.....I'm also hoping my hubbie will clear away some of the mess I've created too!!! ;) xxx
Deletelove your tin bath - we inherited an old bath (not tin, sadly) with our allotment which we plan to make into a pond to encourage frogs and toads ....have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThink that's a brilliant idea.....I'm tempted myself to make a little pond, in the hope the frogs help with slug control, blooming things eat everything I try to grow! ;) xxx
DeleteLove the look of your salad
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow daffodils
Happy Gardening
All the best Jan
Hi Jan, it's wonderful that some of our earliest flowers are yellow isn't it......Mother Nature knows what we need! ;) xxx
DeleteA tin bath with strawberries ... what a delight that will be. The sun's been shining in here ... just what I needed to see on what is a dank Monday in North Wales.
ReplyDeleteIt will, can't wait.....sun finally came out just as it was setting! ;) xxx
