Summer 2015...Brighton

Brighton...busy, busy, busy!
Fantastic architecture, a grand past.
The Royal Pavilion...like being back in India.
Amazing views from the Brighton Wheel.
The excitement of the Pier.
Old Hastings Town, with its beautiful, blackened net huts.
I fell in love with these.
Quirky shops, my kind of shops.
Bexhill and the De La War Pavilion, we were almost blown over by the gales!
Worthing...beautiful sea. And Margot. Fell in love with her too.
Arundel...just like stepping back in time. Quiet and calm.

So here's a very brief summary of our trip, many weeks ago now, to Brighton. In hindsight, far too busy and hectic for me, but I'm glad I saw some of the amazing buildings...bit like London next to the sea.

Back later with Yorkshire!

  1. Glad you had a great time in my area of the UK, it has been very windy here this summer, your picture was like one my hubbie took at bexhill. The pavilion in Brighton is great, we go ice skating there are Christmas. Enjoy your weekendxx

  2. Lovely pictures Amanda. Hastings old Town has to be one of my favourite seaside places. It is only about half hour from where we live. Bexhill is where Abi went to college and we go there once a year for a beach meet up with friends. Did you go into the Pavillion at Brighton? It's on Abi and my to do list one day soon hopefully! x

  7. Hi Amanda, recognised a few of the places you visited, you did a fair bit of travelling. My son got married at Brighton Pavilion a few years ago, it was snowing hard and we only just got there, our side of the downs had more snow than Brighton. My daughter has severe ME/CFS and in a wheelchair so I could not risk getting stuck overnight, so a very kind 4x4 driver took us down and waited to bring my daughter and I back home while my husband stayed on for the reception. Not easy pulling a wheelchair in snow! Glad to see you popping up again, have been peeping in regularly and hoping all okay.
