Hello Ewe!

Hope Ewe all had a great Easter! (Sorry bad joke!)

We had a great time in Derbyshire, will share soon. I picked up this little darling in one of the many shops I went into! It's amazing what you can do when no one saying...do we HAVE to go in that shop Mum!

I'm just getting my head around Bloglovin. I've signed up and will start to catch up with your lovely blogs soon, I've missed so much! I'm not sure if this link will work, but if you wish to, you can Follow my blog with Bloglovin.

Does anyone else feel overwhelmed with all this technology? I had a serious confidence wobble today. I love my little blog, and you know how much I love your visits here, but sometimes I'm not sure I can keep up with all this.

I thought today about retiring from my blog, saying goodbye. I would of course still visit you all, I just feel it's getting really difficult to keep on top of the changes.

Give me a family in crisis and I can jump into action (actually, I'm not sure I can jump anymore, but you know what I mean!) I would know what to do. Put me in front of a computer, and none of it makes sense!

Sorry to have a little rant, just feeling a little lost in it all........

Ada :) x

  1. I have been adopting a head-in-the-sand stance to all this talk of Google Reader being retired (how very dare he!) and needing to change to Bloglovin, so I completely know where you are coming from! Please don't give your blog up though - your sunny little corner would be very much missed!

  3. ~ Hello, Mrs...I think with blogging you can get a little over loaded at times....And usually the times are when you have had a 'wee' break away...You feel you have to check in with every one...Just go with the flow, Ada...Don't try to do too much, my friend! Some times I feel my hands go into action on here, before my brain is in gear! hehe...I do not do technology me self and usually have to SHOUT LOUDLY for the young folk in the house for HELP! But I love my blog and the friends I have made through this virtual world...Including YOU! Glad your break away was lovely! And a big AWWW for cutie lamb....With chocolate hugs! Maria x

  4. Sweet Ada, there have been times when I have felt almost "obliged" to blog but I have had to stop myself and remember that its my log of little parts of my life, I am not doing it for anyone else. The fact that I have comments and conversations is a HUGE bonus and I love that as well as having met some gorgeous people too. As for the technology...well I am pretty hopeless and will just see what happens rather than fretting about all the changes.
I wold miss you very much if you closed down but totally understand if you really want to. You are an inspiration to many creative bloggers out there xox big hugs, Penny xox

  6. love the little sheep. the whole Google Reader thing is a bit of a pain - it took me long enough to sorted in the first place and now it is all changing, so I know what you mean. Do whatever makes you happy (though secretly I hope you keep blogging because I just adore your vintage sheet pictures - in fact I blame you entirely for the fact I've become obsessed with vintage sheets myself!).

Bloglovin is fabulous - I switched recently and it's so much nicer to use than Google Reader - I love reading blogs as they were meant to be rather than a stripped down view....you mustn't give up on your blog - it's fabulous!

  15. Dear Ada, when I got my message that Google Reader was shutting down in July, I thought, "Now what?" Luckily, I have a computer savvy daughter who also reads blogs and she steered me to Thunderbird. I use this as my email program and it has an RSS feed reader and I've finally managed to get almost all of my blogs onto it. I still have Google Reader up but don't need it now. Thunderbird updates each time I open and then every 60 minutes. BUT, if it hadn't been for my daughter, I would be floating out there in Internetville wondering how in the world I was going to stay connected to all my blog buddies. Have a great week, Ada.

    Hugs,
    Sharon

  16. We all need a little rant sometimes Ada. Quite often I can be found screaming at my computer. I set up on Bloglovin and it's great for seeing posts that I would otherwise miss. I read it on the go but I can#t comment....and not working on my laptop either. I'm get really frustrated too with all of this.
Loving the sheep by the way. So cute and pink too. Inside Crochet has a pattern this month for a knitting sheep and I'm going to start that soon. Cant resist a cute sheep!!

I don't even know what google friends connect does - right, I have to stop, I'm beginning to sound like my mum!!

  23. like you I am struggling with google reader going, hope to get a lesson at the library, they sorted me out with my blog in the first place so hopefully they can sort out bloglovin, if not that will mean goodbye.

  24. Oh no, please don't stop. Love your lovely blog. I've never used google reader and don't intend to bother with bloglovin. The way I keep up with my favourite blogs is to make sure I list them in the side bar of my blog. If you list them with a picture and title(which I see you do) it's really easy to see when they have updated. Of course this does mean that if you follow a lot of blogs then you have to have a big list in the side bar but if you don't mind that then I find this is definitely the easiest way to keep up with things. It's the way I've done it for the past 7 years. Love the little Ewe by the way. Fiona x

    1. I'd love too, only can't remember what I did now!!! I think Bloglovin is fairly straight forward, it was the bit where I had to 'claim my blog'. You search for you blog then paste the web address into your new post....I think! :) x

  32. I joined bloglovin' a few days ago but it hasn't transferred the blogs I follow onto it. How did you get it to do that?
I've done the claiming my blog thing (well I couldn't get it to work, so I emailed bloglovin' and they did it for me).
I think you're way better at this technology stuff than me!
By the way how do you put a header on your blog? I would like to do that.

    1. It did it automatically! Email them and ask, I'm not sure why it didn't, sorry! The header- go into Layout, then click onto header. You just need to upload a new photo, luckily this one fitted, I think you can press the shrink to fit button and it resizes your photo! Hope that helps! :) x
