ReplyDeleteMy to do list reads much the same as yours although I cannot visit my lovely mum. :(
ReplyDeleteI like the look of your crochet book, what is the title?
It's Granny Squares by Susan Pinner, very good value for money, lovely designs! :) x
DeleteMy list says make stuff for Saturday's market and stop reading blogs. EExx
ReplyDeletevisit Ada blog....check!!!! ;oD
ReplyDeletexxxxx Ale
Doesn't it feel good when you tick things off your checklist, Ada? I'm doing the same as Harry starting University on Sunday, and there's so much to do!
ReplyDeleteLove your crocheting, I've just checked back through your posts, and can't believe that you started crocheting less than a year ago ... you put me to shame, I've known how to crochet since I was about 8, and haven't done the amazing things you have!
Enjoy the peace xxx
I couldn't do anything too complex yet, I'm sticking to easy things that look good! :) x
DeleteSuch a colourful post - work for me today. Just about to have a cuppa and do a little ironing, before collecting my son from school, tea in the car, and off to rugby practice. Hoping there might be time for a little hooky after all that. I'm so close to finishing the big ripple, but not there yet! x
ReplyDeleteDid you photocopy mt To-Do List? I'm doing much the same here...taking last batch of chocolate chip cookies out of the oven for Bunny's lunchbox tomorrow, labelling everything, crocheting a gift...happy, busy days! Chrissie x PS Are you going to make the hexie cushion next? I am loving that book!
ReplyDeleteYour children are very lucky....home cooked cookies! :) x
DeleteThat Hexagon Pillow you are planning to do looks so PRETTY!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with this school year and keep looking at your stash when you need a break from it all!
Stephanie
Yarn sale yummies Ada, I love that anti-tickle yarn, so soft and delish. I have school uniform ironing to do and packed lunch to make and then I can relax and watch the bake off at 8pm with my knitting :0) Hope all goes well with your girls first day back, Alice is going to get a shock when her alarm goes of at 6.30am tomorrow xox Penny
ReplyDeleteYip its been much the same here today and to be honest it takes ages to get everything ready for school. We had to do a last minute PE shop today as well, oh my brain! Little Es starts her first day tomorrow, sniff sniff. As for the hoover, well that one stays well out of sight. Loving all those yarn pics and looking forward to hearing all about your little adventure. Happy week lovely Ada xoxo
ReplyDeleteHope first day goes well! :) x
DeleteI have completed a very similar checklist to yours ready for the start of term on Thursday - and both my boys have gone to bed with sore throats and temperatures tonight! I'm wondering if our summer break is going to be extended a day or two. I have that book too, but I can't decide what to make next, so many lovely patterns. Love, Mrs RV x
ReplyDeleteOh dear...hope they are ok! :) x
DeleteOoh have just reserved the book from the library after reading your post - only problem is I'm 3rd in the queue!!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be worth waiting for! :) x
DeleteOh I love having things ticked off a list! Loving all your gorgeous crochet.
ReplyDeleteM x
Ooh name labels, forgot about those! I love all your pictures, so colourful and pretty. I'm quite inspired to learn how to crochet at the moment, it seems like an especially nice thing to do in the autumn and winter. xx
ReplyDeleteMy day looks something likes yours. Cleaning, tidying, appointment making, blog reading and hopefully a spot of op-shopping in there too.
ReplyDeleteLove the assortment of lolly-hued yarn. x
Happy September! Can't wait to see your next blanket! xo Heather
ReplyDeletesuch a colourful blog from you today, my days of school have long gone but you have reminded me what it used to be like!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! We share the same interest and I like the way you tell your little stories :) Right now I'm more into knitting, but I've got a crochet blanket waiting to be put together... Today I am trying to ignore the To do-list and focus on the Want to do-list; prepare our garden furnitures for a coat of paint, finish the knitted dress for our baby girl, sort all the buttons my grandma once had, find a dress pattern for myself (to sew), etc, etc... But I guess I have to wash our boys' clothes at least. Have a nice Wednesday :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for popping by Anne! :) x
DeleteHi Ada,Lots of hooky pleasure should also be on your list!!!Lovely photo's!!!Makes ME very happy!!!Have a great day!!!
ReplyDeleteLove
AMarie
Ooh new yarn! Always exciting. Hope you get your little adventure planned :)
ReplyDeleteTo do list.... get back to work (ha!) and get rid of the cold. Stupid sinuses, ugh! And start sewing my skirt!
My 'to do' list never ends.. I would love to reach a time when I have done everything and can relax. Although I don't know how to!
ReplyDeleteSuch eye candy Ada.....Heidi
ReplyDeleteI've had weeks of checking off check lists getting daughter back up to university and into a new home this year. Today, son is back into high school, and I am not doing ANYTHING but will be still, enjoy the gorgeous day on the patio and try to stay calm ... for once. I think I've earned this day. I laughed that your words in this post don't match the photos, and I can see where your mind is really at!! Enjoy your hooky time (eventually) today ;) Wendy x
ReplyDeleteOh yes, this week as felt like one long to-do list here as well! I hate those blinking name labels. Gorgeous colours in your crochet though, something nice to distract us from all the chores. x
ReplyDeleteI make lists all day now and often find them weeks later in a bag, forgotten and uncompleted. They are like little, nostalgic reminders of a previous week of chaos. I think playing hooky from the chores sounds like a much better option!
ReplyDeleteMy list = book stone sealer, order sink, arrange car service in view of odd clunking when cornering, pester kitchen company about missing cupboards, arrange delivery washer/dryer, book 4 yo vaccinations, pap smear, mri for husbands knee and dentist for everyone, move house and paint 3 bedrooms and kitchen. Oh and complete all these tasks within next 2 weeks "holiday" from work. LOVING coming over here for all the joy colour and absence of tasks! mel x
ReplyDeletemy to do list? get more sleep, tidy the lounge, write article for our new craft mag, sew miss 2 a dress....but ill be happy if i just achieve the first one, get more sleep!
ReplyDeleteI have so much to do Ada... but I am afraid to make a list as I fear it will stretch on for pages and pages... I'm just going to learn to love the clutter I think! ;) Hazel x
ReplyDeleteYou missed off crochet!!! I have lists of lists - they never end, do they? Am so enjoying all your colourful crochet xx
ReplyDeleteLove your list Ada! And all your beautiful yarn and crochet photos too. I have lots of lists as reminders and suggestions, but don't always do the things on them!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy weekend!
Helen x
Loving all your photos. I have a very long to do list at the moment. Wanting to do a BIG spring clean. Happy weekend to you and fingers crossed for your possible trip xo
ReplyDeletei forgot to even buy Busby's uniform!! It was only pre-school so not such a huge deal, he's too young to be scarred by such shoddy mothering as yet! lol xxx
