  5. Doesn't it feel good when you tick things off your checklist, Ada? I'm doing the same as Harry starting University on Sunday, and there's so much to do!

Love your crocheting, I've just checked back through your posts, and can't believe that you started crocheting less than a year ago ... you put me to shame, I've known how to crochet since I was about 8, and haven't done the amazing things you have!

    Enjoy the peace xxx

  6. Such a colourful post - work for me today. Just about to have a cuppa and do a little ironing, before collecting my son from school, tea in the car, and off to rugby practice. Hoping there might be time for a little hooky after all that. I'm so close to finishing the big ripple, but not there yet! x

  7. Did you photocopy mt To-Do List? I'm doing much the same here...taking last batch of chocolate chip cookies out of the oven for Bunny's lunchbox tomorrow, labelling everything, crocheting a gift...happy, busy days! Chrissie x PS Are you going to make the hexie cushion next? I am loving that book!

  9. Yarn sale yummies Ada, I love that anti-tickle yarn, so soft and delish. I have school uniform ironing to do and packed lunch to make and then I can relax and watch the bake off at 8pm with my knitting :0) Hope all goes well with your girls first day back, Alice is going to get a shock when her alarm goes of at 6.30am tomorrow xox Penny

  10. Yip its been much the same here today and to be honest it takes ages to get everything ready for school. We had to do a last minute PE shop today as well, oh my brain! Little Es starts her first day tomorrow, sniff sniff. As for the hoover, well that one stays well out of sight. Loving all those yarn pics and looking forward to hearing all about your little adventure. Happy week lovely Ada xoxo

  11. I have completed a very similar checklist to yours ready for the start of term on Thursday - and both my boys have gone to bed with sore throats and temperatures tonight! I'm wondering if our summer break is going to be extended a day or two. I have that book too, but I can't decide what to make next, so many lovely patterns. Love, Mrs RV x

  18. I love your blog! We share the same interest and I like the way you tell your little stories :) Right now I'm more into knitting, but I've got a crochet blanket waiting to be put together... Today I am trying to ignore the To do-list and focus on the Want to do-list; prepare our garden furnitures for a coat of paint, finish the knitted dress for our baby girl, sort all the buttons my grandma once had, find a dress pattern for myself (to sew), etc, etc... But I guess I have to wash our boys' clothes at least. Have a nice Wednesday :)

  22. I've had weeks of checking off check lists getting daughter back up to university and into a new home this year. Today, son is back into high school, and I am not doing ANYTHING but will be still, enjoy the gorgeous day on the patio and try to stay calm ... for once. I think I've earned this day. I laughed that your words in this post don't match the photos, and I can see where your mind is really at!! Enjoy your hooky time (eventually) today ;) Wendy x

  23. Oh yes, this week as felt like one long to-do list here as well! I hate those blinking name labels. Gorgeous colours in your crochet though, something nice to distract us from all the chores. x

  24. I make lists all day now and often find them weeks later in a bag, forgotten and uncompleted. They are like little, nostalgic reminders of a previous week of chaos. I think playing hooky from the chores sounds like a much better option!
