Getting there.....And Getting Some Treasure On The Way!!!

Well Hello Everyone!

I hope the day finds you well, we've had a few sniffles here, Little Bea has had the usual new term cold, and we spent yesterday snuggled up on the sofa, she's skipped off to school today though, that little one does love school!
I just wanted to share this little poem she made up whilst lying there. Words seem to be effortless to Little Bea, wish I could say the same!

Oh Little Girl, you are so funny,
But why is your nose oh so runny?
I see you at home, alone in your bed,
With a thermometer in your mouth,
And you, rubbing your head!
You can no longer skip, or jump, or play,
You'll just have to stay off, for the rest of the day!
You can no longer stay at school with your friends
When you're like this, the fun always ends!
I can see you at home, with your unbrushed hair,
When you're not here, it's so unfair.
You're looking out of your window at the fresh air,
As if you're trapped in a secret lair,
Because you really want to go out to play,
But this Little Girl has got a sick day!

She wrote this from her friends perspective. Do you think perhaps she wanted to be at school with her friends, rather than at home with her mum!!!

As for me, well no sniffles thank goodness, and my energy levels are getting back to 'normal', well for me anyway! I'm trying to do a little bit more exercise, I go walking with a friend one evening a week, we call it our laughter therapy. We don't walk very fast, but we laugh hard!

And I'm loving the yoga, I practiced a lot up until last year, I'm looking forward to getting my balance and strength back again.
Yoga is even better when the community centre it's based in, has a bric-a-brack table in it.....with these on....

They are Johnson Brothers coffee pots, I did the whole yoga session with a big grin on my face!

And on Tuesday my lovely friend presented me with these delicious books! They are from the 1950s and the covers are marvellous, not at all politically correct, feminist they're not...we read out some of the snippets, hilarious! I'm going to chuckle all the way through these!

Think they might need to live on my mantlepiece.....

The weather is really yucky here at the moment, lots of rain and grey skies....Minnie has hardly left the house, she keeps finding places to snuggle up....mainly crochet blankets!

Cheeky girl! Talking of Cheeky Girls......

Little Bea has her very own pink monkey onesie, she's very happy!

And me, I'm happy crocheting away....I'm thinking cushions for our bed, but I'm not committing to anything just yet, this will be one of those wait-and-see projects!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Ada :) xxx

  3. What a talented daughter you have!
My cat is the same - she has decided that winter is on it's way, which means she expects to just move (occasionally) around the house to different warm and cosy sports.
The life of a cat has it's attractions!
    Have a great weekend.

  19. I have a pink Johnson coffee pot, but I had to buy that off eBay! Love your crochet, and your books....lol. I waited to be Ann the air hostess when I was a mite bit younger, but I am a Sue, so it looks like physiotherapy for me. Your daughter has real talent with words, reminds me of AA Milne , the only poetry I read and loved!
