I love May...
It's when we welcomed the gorgeous, wonderful, Little Bea into our family. What joy she has brought to us. She's changing so quickly, growing into an amazing young woman.
We've yet to hit those teenage years, but already I've noticed her growing interest in clothes, and her hair...she keeps disappearing into her bedroom, no longer my shadow.
Our little trip to London was her main birthday present, and what a pleasure it was, spending time with this funny, loveable character.
So here's my May Mantel...by the skin of my teeth, again! The flowers were picked from my garden, it's just brilliant being able to go around the garden gathering a small collection of flowers. Next year I'm determined to have my very own cutting patch!

Happy birthday to Little Bea. I am a May baby too! It's a lovely time of year to be born. Your mantel is so pretty. I love the yellow jug filled with garden blooms. Your garden must be bursting with flowers at the moment. Have a great week, Bee xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Bee...yes a good month! I love the jug too, fab colour! :) xxx
DeleteWhat a brilliant birthday cake. I hope she had a wonderful day. I shall be baking a birthday cake this week as well. I really love that bunch of flowers, all the more so because they are from the garden. The dark red aquilegia is gorgeous, and I really love the thing that looks like pink cow parsley. And the pale pink things that look like recorder brushes. I'm not very good with flower names! But they're beautiful. Wishing you all a good week. CJ xx
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely aren't they...think I need to add some burgundy smoke bush in there too! Hope your birthday celebrations go well :) xxx
