The little rag doll on the top is the first thing I ever made, well from fabric anyway, I was a 'Playschool' fanatic when I was little. Can you remember that programme? Each episode had a 'Making Item' where we were shown how to make something out of old boxes and wool. Each day I would make what I had seen on the show, apparently my Mum would dread this! She wasn't bothered by the mess too much, but rather would we have all the empty boxes we needed!
Anyway, as I was saying, this was the first fabric thing I made, with my best friend Tracey and her mum. The little horse was a Brownie project I needed to complete for a badge!
The trio above were little trinkets I picked up from a day trip to Skegness, we went each year with the local Pub, all the children received a bottle of pop, a packet of crisps and a pound note in an envelope. I should imagine that's how these were purchased! We sang all the way there and slept all the way back!
I will tell you more about the Brown Tub behind them another day....
Above is some books I covered with wallpaper, probably in the early 70's....now that must be where my wallpaper addiction was
